His hair is made from real fur. Please note, the hair on the back side of his had has thinned and the  paint on the inside of his scepter is just starting to wear off. This nutcracker was handcrafted at the Kunstgewerbe-Werkstatten Olbernhau (KWO) workshop in Germany's Erzgebirge region.  It measures 12" tall and ships in the original box.  KWO is a renowned German company  that produces high-quality, traditional wooden folk art  German nutcrackers in Olbernhau, Germany.  This Nutcracker is part of the leftover inventory from a Christmas store closing.
