This vintage Santa Clara small incised blackware pottery bowl or seed pot was purchased in a shop in Ruidoso, New Mexico in 1983. Handmade by Native American artisans in the US, this unique piece showcases the traditional craftsmanship and cultural significance of Native American pottery. With its rich history and cultural ties, this collectible item is a beautiful representation of Native American artistry and heritage. This piece is unmarked but it may have been at one time and the etching has rubbed off.  It is very small, measuring only 2 inches in height and 2 1/2 inches in diameter around the rim.  It has no flaws.  There is a small white spot on the base and it may have been from the kiln.  It has had one owner since its purchased, has been in a display case in a non-smoking environment.
