Make sure the design is straight and properly aligned before applying heat. 2 Prepare the Fabric Make sure the fabric is clean, completely dry, and free from wrinkles. Place the item on a flat, firm, and heat-resistant surface. 3 Set the Iron Temperature Preheat your iron to approximately 300?320°F (150?160°C) .
