It is mounted inside a hinged "Union Case" which was commonly referred to as a "Gutta-Perch" or Thermoplastic case). The frame is secured by an ornate stamped brass matte and a metal rim. The left panel interior lining is a classic decorative, embossed velvet pad which help protect the glass and metal photo plate. The case exterior features an intricate repousse' floral design on its lid. For condition, the case is intact and the hinge works flawlessly. Overall it is in good condition. It measures approximately 3" inches height by 2 1/4" inches width.
