A magnificent vintage Taxco sterling silver hook-closure statement bangle bracelet. This hand-finished mid-century style piece centers an oval Mexican art glass cabochon—beautifully known as "Dragon's Breath" or "Harlequin Foil Glass." Crafted to simulate a vivid Mexican matrix fire opal, the stone shifts from a cool violet-blue to fiery flashes of crimson, burnt orange, and gold when caught by the light. The stone is beautifully framed by an antiqued twisted rope border and accented with groups of hand-soldered silver spheres (beads). The central setting transitions into a split-shoulder bypass wire frame that forms a rigid, oval-shaped wristband, closing securely with an integrated hook-and-eye safety clasp.
