The 5 point Texas Star does contain gold of some type but we are not sure if it is heavy plated, bonded, filled or another variety. This tip was from a very high end buckle set. Notice that even the sides of the tip have intricate hand engraving…..which is rare. The piece measures 1 1/2” x 7/8” and it will fit belt straps up to 7/8” wide. The weight is about 3/4 to 1 ounce.
