Stunning vintage pair of hand-blown art glass swan figurines featuring a soft milky baby blue opaline interior encased in clear glass, creating a layered Sommerso-style effect. The swans feature elegant elongated necks, clear applied wings, beaks, crests, and scalloped clear glass bases. Displayed together, their curved necks create a beautiful romantic heart-like composition. Please note regarding color: The light box photographs do not fully do these pieces justice. In person, the glass has a much softer, milkier baby blue opaline appearance. The photograph taken against the black background is the truest representation of their actual color. One swan has a small black inclusion encased within the glass at the bottom/base area. There is also a small area of roughness near the applied beak attachment, shown closely in photos with the red nail pointing to the area. This appears consistent with the glassmaking/application process rather than later impact damage. No major chips or cracks observed.
