A beautiful and highly collectible vintage Crown Trifari rhinestone bow brooch dating to the late 1930s to early 1940s, during Alfred Philippe's tenure . This elegant oversized ribbon design showcases the exceptional craftsmanship that made Trifari one of America's premier costume jewelry makers. The dimensional bow is accented with rows of brilliant clear pave-set rhinestones, while the ribbon tails terminate in articulated rhinestone dangles that move gracefully while wearing. The brooch measures approximately 3¼ inches tall by 2 inches wide , has a depth of ½ inch , and weighs a substantial 34.3 grams . The reverse is signed with the desirable Crown Trifari mark. Condition is very good vintage overall. The rhinestones remain bright with excellent sparkle, and the pin functions properly. There is expected age-related wear to the plating, particularly on portions of the ribbon tails and reverse, consistent with an authentic piece of this age. Two original articulated rhinestone dangles are missing from the longer ribbon tail (please examine photos carefully), but the brooch still displays beautifully and retains outstanding eye appeal. Large early Crown Trifari ribbon brooches are increasingly sought after by collectors, making this an excellent addition to any vintage costume jewelry collection or a wonderful candidate for sympathetic restoration using original Trifari donor parts.
