Where those vertical and horizontal strips cross, a smaller, dark blue square is used as a cornerstone. The style is an excellent example of a scrappy utilitarian or memory quilt, likely utilizing reclaimed shirt fabrics or sewing scraps in alternating shades of navy, denim, slate, and neutral whites.
