The buckle is about 50 years old and most but not all of the 22 karat gold plating is now gone…. there still is a light gold tint on the horse and horseshoes but it’s light. It looks & works GREAT! We have come across very few of these San Carlos Premium Sterling Silver and Gold Crumrine Jewelers Brand Horse & Lucky Horseshoes Belt buckles in our many years of collecting. THIS IS AN AWESOME DESIGN. The buckle is about 50 years old and most but not all of the 22 karat gold plating is now gone…..there still is a light gold tint on the horse and horseshoes but it’s light. The rest of the buckle is .925 sterling silver and it STILL LOOKS AWESOME!!  It shines very nicely and the minor scratches visible in our extreme close up photos are not even noticeable when this buckle is on a belt. It looks & works GREAT!! The buckle measures 3” x 2 1/8”, fits belts up to 1 1/2” wide and weighs 90 grams or over 3.1 ounces on our scale. It will be a fantastic gift for that horse lover you know and a buckle that will last a lifetime.
