This striking piece features Ocampo's signature style, showcasing vibrant, iridescent abalone shell inlay set against heavy, hand-tooled solid sterling silver. One piece of abalone shell Is absent. The abalone displays a brilliant flash of peacock greens, blues, and pinks that catch the light beautifully. The reverse side bears the rare, highly sought-after early circular hallmark reading "M. OCAMPO TAXCO MEX 925". Because it lacks the alphanumeric tax codes introduced by the Mexican government in the late 1970s and does not feature the post-1948 "Eagle" assay stamp, this hallmark places the piece as a very early vintage item, securely dating to the 1930s or 1940s era. 16”, so the piece with the missing abalone could be removed.
