Here is a beautiful, modest long length First Communion dress, probably 1970s era. High neck with ruffle lace and faux pearl necklace. Short, sheer lace elasticized sleeves. Dress is sheer lace over poly-type material; scalloped lace hem. Here is a beautiful, modest long length First Communion dress, probably 1970s era. Fabric construction unknown - the interior tag is faded, but I see the words "nylon and acetate." High neck with ruffle lace and faux pearl necklace. Pleated bodice with back button trimmed faux sash. Short, sheer lace elasticized sleeves. Dress is sheer lace over poly-type material; scalloped lace hem. Back metal zipper closure. Based upon modern day measurements, this dress is likely a size seven (7). Please note the following measurements on the EXTERIOR of the clothing: - Chest on one side (armpit-to-armpit) 12.5 inch - Bodice/waist at pleating on one side 11.75 inch - Sleeve length 7 inch - Dress length shoulder-to-hem 43 inch - Neck is about 13.5 inches around - There is no stretch to this fabric - Please compare these measurements to dresses your child already wears Your child's chest/waist measurements should be slightly smaller for this dress to properly fit. The interior lining and neck size lend better to a thin/normal body type. Dress can be shortened to knee or midi length if you desire, but you would lose scalloped hem. This is a used, pre-owned vintage item.  Dress has been soaked/cleaned in soap designed for vintage restoration. It is a pretty soft white with no yellowing or stains. Smells clean. The zipper works fine. The dress has flaws: - The elastic in the sleeves is shot. However, the sleeves now have a pretty semi-flutter look/style, which is attractive and more in line with today's fashion. - There is a hole in the lace near the bottom hem on the left front (see photos). This hole might be considered non-detracting by some as it's hard to see against the interior lining. A good seamstress can easily fix it and/or dress can be shortened to midi length. - The back sash has missing/mis-matched buttons. I am sending along 4 buttons that might work as a replacement, but you can find your own if the buttons I send are not to your liking. Item is being sold from a smoke-free home that does have cats.
