The pendulum with applied musical motifs, swinging gently below. It is beautiful made in ormolu (finely gilded bronze) and white marble.  The dial is porcelain enamel on copper with delicate floral swags between the letters and beautifully fretted gilt hands. The rear door is glazed to allow the movement to be seen. The French movement is of high quality and is by Vincenti. It is in excellent clean and running condition having been fully overhauled by our clockmaker. Pendulum is original. It runs for 8 days and strikes the hours and halves on a bell. Condition of the case is excellent, the original gilding is beautifully clean and bright with just some slight wear to the high spots, particularly the pendulum and the ribbon to the top. Marble has some nibbles to the edges and some slight discolouration in places. Original glass has a scratch. The dial is also excellent with just some nibbles around the winding holes.      Vincenti clockmaker's mark on the movement backplate along with the Parisian retailer's mark Complete with original pendulum, bell and a suitable key.
