Vintage Hopi 2nd Mesa Coiled Basketry Tray or Plaque with Four Corn Plant Design, Circa 1950's-1970's This classic Hopi 2nd Mesa coiled tray has a largely geometric design, portraying four corn ears (two yellow & two red) and surrounding leaves in a highly stylized motif. The basket is largely unfaded with the back only slightly brighter than the front. The basket retains its original hanger loop which is integral to the basket. It also has the original Trading Post tag still attached and was found among a collection of Southwestern Indian baskets in rural New Mexico. Dimensions: 7-7/8" diameter, Coils: 3/8" wide Condition: Very Good. Lacking significant damage or fading & no repairs.
