The scalloped edges and hand-painted  design are  very unique.  The piece features a variety of colors and contains "Scholar" design on the underneath of the edge.(see photos) This beautiful and unique piece is made of porcelain and pottery. It is an original antique piece from Japan, dating back to the late 19th century.
