THE CLASP IS A BAR DESIGN THAT OPENS BY PUSHING DOWN ON THE BAR ON THE SIDE WHERE THE FIGURE 8 SAFETY IS.  THAT RAISES THE CLAW WHICH YOU THEN GRAB THE BAR ON THE OTHER SIDE TO SECURE THE CLASP.
