Santa Through The Ages Christmas Ornament 1995 Lot of 3 Santa Claus Figures Vtg Circa 1853 an early Bavarian inspired St Nicholas figure dressed in a laden green coat ringing his bells heralding in Christmas day. Circa 1870 this St Nicholas figure was inspired by an antique metal chocolate mold manufactured by the Anton Reiche Company of Dresden, Germany founded in 1870. He is dressed in a simple robe. Circa 1895 the Story Book Santa was adapted from a children story book published by the famous Raphael Tuck & Sons Ltd. New York and London in 1895. His coat, hat, and pants were styled after the American version of Santa Claus. The figures are about 4.5 inches tall in good condition, packaged in original boxes, packages have some signs of normal wear. See pictures. Condition: Used.
