View Vintage GDR Nutcracker 16" Soldier w/Gun, Box, Straw Erzgebirge 64320/129/41309 with current marketplace pricing, condition, product images and item details. The paint is in excellent condition, and the only slight paint imperfection would be on the nose. The gun is perfect and the original rubber strap is still in one piece. This Nutcracker is a wonderful collectors item. This is an Original Erzgebirge Expertic Wooden Nutcracker, 16” Handcrafted in the German Democratic Republic (Former East Germany). The fabrication date is not known, but the fall of the GDR happened in 1990, so this piece was manufactured during the 1980's at the latest, but research has shown that more than likely, the late 1960's to 1970's. This Nutcracker is well made has been taken care of very nicely.  Obviously, it is pre-owned, and we displayed it for many years.  However, we haven't included it in the past few years due to expanding our Christmas collection.  So, as you can see, this isn't a found item that we are trying to flip for profit.  We are hoping that it will find a home that will enjoy it as much as we have over the years. Another great feature, that I haven't seen on other similar Nutcrackers is this unique box that has the original paper and straw packing.  The bottom even has the Expertic logo decal. The paint is in excellent condition, and the only slight paint imperfection would be on the nose.  The gun is perfect and the original rubber strap is still in one piece.
