A few beads feature relatively large patches of  sodalite , but the majority of those beads retain a high-quality blue.  How has this material tested for authenticity? Photos are taken with UV light to display fluorescence of calcite   inclusions to assist in confirmation of authenticity. Additionally, this necklace and other lapis from the source have been through UV testing, heat testing, and acid testing. No lapis from this source displayed any indication of falsification, modification, heat treatment, color treatment, or resin origins. It is with these tests that these beads are declared to be authentic and natural. Due to the color saturation, amount of pyrite and calcite inclusions, this necklace is being rated as A-to-AA grade Lapis Lazuli and is being priced at $6 per gram. The stringing material is dark blue thread between beads that blend into the color of the beads.
