These minor defects do not affect the overall look and use of these unique pieces. The stamp on the bottom of the sugar bowl is partially rubbed off. There are characters painted on both pieces. Unique vintage set sugar and creamer in a gold Lusterware and shaped as elephants. The creamer pours from the elephant's mouth. The sugar bowl has a lid with a "pagoda" top handle. Hard to find set together. The inside of the sugar lid has some rough edges. The creamer has a some rough edge on top of one of the ears. These minor defects do not affect the overall look and use of these unique pieces. Other than what I have pointed out there are no other chips or defects in the paint. These are old pieces so they have some light crazing, but otherwise are in remarkable condition. The stamp on the bottom of the sugar bowl is partially rubbed off. The stamp on the bottom of the creamer is clear - it says "Hand Painted Made in Japan". There are characters painted on both pieces.
