I really don’t know what material these glassy beads are but here’s their story: My mother in law had several Antique stores while traveling the world in the Airforce, for husband 35 years. Upon her husbands death on 9/11/11, she passed her jewelry on to me. According to her, this lovely string of beads were hand strung and knotted by a fellow wife of a Service man, to attend a Formal Event on base in the late 50’s, in Germany. So. Whether the glass like beads are genuine gemstones is very likely. But, even not, it’s still makes you feel Beautiful and special when worn!
