Set of 2 Japanese Kutani ware Eggshell Porcelain Saucers Geishas No Cups For consideration is this set of 2 antique eggshell porcelain saucers made in Japan. These Kutani ware saucers feature hand painted scenes of a geisha or woman with two younger children in tradition clothing which is a common theme in the late Meiji period ceramics. They are standing in front of a pink blossomed tree which has tiny enameled dots on the petals and smoky mountains in the background. The scene is framed beautifully in gold with more florals and hints of green, blue, white and cinnamon rust accents surrounding the frame. The saucers measure 5 5/8 inches in diameter and are marked (see photos). Both are in excellent antique condition with no problems noted other than there are no cups. Thank you for looking!
