Vintage Chinese Republican Period Famille Rose Turquoise-Ground Porcelain Bowl – Yong An Department Store Marked (永安監製) Up for sale is a beautiful and historically significant Chinese Famille Rose porcelain bowl dating from the Republican Period (circa 1920s–1940s).This bowl features a striking, vibrant turquoise-ground exterior meticulously hand-painted with elegant scrolling floral lotus motifs and stylized foliage. The upper rim is decorated with a detailed, multi-colored geometric Greek key (fret) border in alternating red, green, and blue panels. The interior features a clean, crisp white glazed porcelain finish.The base features the highly collectible, prominent four-character red stamped hallmark: 「永安監製」 (Yóng'ān Jiānzhì), which translates to "Supervised and Manufactured by the Yong An Company".During the early 20th century, the legendary Yong An Department Store in Shanghai commissioned elite workshops in Jingdezhen to paint and glaze premium custom porcelain for their upscale clientele. Because of this private commercial hallmark, this piece doubles as a stunning decorative object and a rare piece of Chinese mercantile history.
