Features the distinctive early two-piece hinged lever cap marked “MILLERS FALLS” on the front and “PAT. Features the distinctive early two-piece hinged lever cap marked “MILLERS FALLS” on the front and “PAT. APLD. FOR” on the reverse. This lever-cap design is associated with the Type 1 planes introduced in 1929. The lever-cap patent was granted September 8, 1931, making the patent-pending configuration an especially desirable early variation. 14” cast-iron body with smooth sole, original-style wooden rear tote and front knob, brass adjustment hardware and 2” cutter configuration. The No. 14 was Millers Falls’ general-purpose jack plane and is comparable in size/use to a Stanley No. 5. Condition: Vintage/antique used condition with substantial age-related wear. Surface rust/oxidation, finish loss, scratches, discoloration and wear to the wooden components are present throughout. Appears to have been stored for many years. It has NOT been restored or aggressively cleaned, preserving its original patina. Please review all photos closely for exact condition and completeness. Made in USA.
