They are wearing their original clothing.  Over the years I have seen these dolls attributed to Hertwig, and Limbach.   They are adorable no matter who made them.  The only thing I can say for certain is that they were made in Germany circa the 1920s. No chips, cracks or repairs visible or felt.  Have not removed clothes.
