This lock piece is from the early 1800's and is in very good used condition. It has all the inner parts so I'm sure it would work with the proper key. No key or latch piece. An antique iron/steel lock with a nice thick brass keyhole escutcheon and cover, marked "patent"! Hand made. A rare find! A lock style used during the early to mid 1800's on high quality trunks. Well made, thick, and very strong. SIZE: 2 3/4"" tall and 3 1/2" wide. This lock piece is from the early 1800's and is in very good used condition.
