I ADORE this panel. ~ This wonderful pattern is the quintessentially painterly! ~ It's just GORGEOUS! ~ The ground tone is a minty green with many tones of greens, blues pinks oranges and neutrals ! ~*~ Hello and welcome to The Textile Trunk ~*~ Please follow us on Instagram: @textiletrunk *~*~ Pretty as a picture!! You can simply search my store for the word Painterly and it will appear) This fabric dates from c 1850, however the construction of the curtain I put sometime in the 19920-1930's ~ reused! ~ This wonderful pattern is the quintessentially painterly! ~ The large scale floral is simply STUNNING ~ this fabric is a light to medium weight cotton, that was lightly chintzed. This panel is pieced ( please see photographs) perhaps patching from wear ??~ It's just GORGEOUS!!! I found this panel in France, however I have a suspicion that it's English ~ a very English vibe to me! ~ The ground tone is a minty green with many tones of greens, blues pinks oranges and neutrals ! ~ I just adore this panel ~*~ It doesn't have great strength , so best used decoratively rather than for upholstery etc ~ MEASUREMENTS: This lovely textile measures approximately 68 inches long by 42 inches wide ~ at the top, where it is pleated it's about 31 inches wide ~ CONDITION: This panel has been kept in as found, not freshly laundered condition for collectors, but can be hand washed and hung to dry. However, it's really best to leave in as found condition as the patina is remarkable!! This panel has some small holes visible when held to the light ~ not without signs of time and use often inherent in these wonderful textiles! ~*~ Condition reflected in the price ~ inv #: E 235 20220414 Condition: someone_else.
