Vintage butterfly brooch — a large, dramatic figural pin with wings fully paved in olive-green rhinestones, pale green marquise-cut rhinestones set along the upper wings, and four larger aqua-green round rhinestones, all in an antiqued gold-tone setting. The wings are cast with a beaded edge and a raised, textured back, and the body carries a pavé stripe with curled antennae. The reverse is finished in the same antiqued gold tone with a pin stem and a rollover safety clasp. It is unsigned, but the density of the stone-setting and the quality of the casting put it among the better unsigned costume pieces — it reads from across a room.
