Vintage Joan Rivers double-strand faux pearl necklace — two long strands of rich brown, bronze and champagne imitation pearls with a signed gold-tone clasp. Signed Joan Rivers on the oval hangtag at the clasp. The two strands are individually knotted between each pearl. One strand mixes deep chocolate-brown and bronze pearls; the other mixes champagne and light bronze pearls, so the two strands play against each other when worn together. Pearls are round with a smooth, high-luster coating and a subtle color shift in the light. Both strands join at a single gold-tone lobster clasp with the Joan Rivers tag. Construction: hand-knotted strands, gold-tone lobster clasp and ring, signed oval hangtag. MARK: Oval hangtag stamped "Joan Rivers" with copyright symbol, at the clasp. MEASUREMENTS: Strands approximately 30 inches each (measured doubled at about 15 inches); one strand hangs very slightly shorter than the other so they layer naturally. Pearls approximately 10 mm. Weight 168.9 grams. MATERIALS: Imitation pearls (glass or resin beads with a pearlescent coating) on knotted cord; gold-tone plated base metal clasp and findings. The pearls are not natural or cultured; not solid gold. CONDITION: Very good pre-owned condition. Pearl coating is intact with strong luster; no peeling, flaking or bare beads found.
