The underside of each piece is stamped with the green "Sch Bavaria" shield mark with crossed hammers, historically tied to the Schwarzenhammer region of Germany. Rim Chip: One plate has a distinct chip located on the reverse side of the inter rim edge. This chip is on the back and does not alter the circular silhouette of the plate from a direct front-facing view.
