This is a photo of a turkey farmer feeding the traditional bronze turkey (largely replaced by the white broad breasted turkeys in the 1940s). Also pictured is a donkey or a mule who is likely the turkey's guardian animal. I don't know the names of the man in the photo, location or exactly when this photo was taken but likely taken sometime in the 1920s or 1930s. Approx. 5-1/4" x 4.5" - This is an original photo from the era and not a reprint from a negative or photocopier. Good condition - has a few indents on the photo but images make these mostly unnoticeable, a corner crease and a little soiled. You may have noticed that white line in the center; that's something from when the photo was being developed and not a flaw on the photo - you probably only noticed it when I pointed out, it's something the mind easily dismisses.
