I am selling this matching antique pair of German-style bisque porcelain figurines depicting a young boy and girl in elegant 18th-century court attire. They stand approximately 11 inches tall and weigh 1.5 lbs, making them a stunning, prominent display pair for a mantel, parlor, or china cabinet. Each figurine features a smooth, unglazed matte bisque finish intricately hand-painted in soft pastel powder blues, lavenders, and whites. They are detailed with molded geometric textures on their clothing, fine lace-mimicking trim, and delicate hand-painted gold gilt dot accents throughout. The inside of both hollow bases features the matching hand-painted decorator/painter inventory mark "18", confirming they were painted as a true pair by the same artist factory worker. Very good antique condition with well preserved pastel colors. There is one tiny, minor chip located directly on the bottom edge rim of one base (see photos for a close-up). It does not impact structural stability and is hardly visible when the piece is standing. There are some light surface dust/soot smudges from age on the porous bisque surfaces. Left uncleaned to preserve the integrity of the original cold-painted details and gold gilt for the buyer. No major cracks, breaks, or professional restorations.
