You are looking at a most wonderful mid-19th century deep dish American Walnut frame with true gilding as the inner frame.  In about the best condition I have seen in many a moon--I just got a grouping of frames earlier in the day from a picker who found them in the attic of a large Burlington Hill Estate garage. The second of the frames is the one above--just about flawless--exterior size 13x15 inches; interior size 8x10.
