The brooch has a foldover pin stem with roller style safety clasp. A beautiful example of Victorian / Georgian era jewelry. Antique / Vintage Sterling Silver Gold Vermeil Blue & White Enamel Forget-Me-Not Brooch / Pin measuring approximately 1 3/4 x 1 1/4 Inches and weighing approximately 5.88 grams. The brooch has a foldover pin stem with roller style safety clasp. It is stamped "Silver" on an applied tag on the back of the brooch. A beautiful example of Victorian / Georgian era jewelry. The forget me not has a long history of meaning of remembering special connections with others: true love; remembering those we have lost; helping those who are losing memories through dementia or alzheimers disease; special friendships; helping to remember those in need. My husbands father brought back many lovely pieces of jewelry, porcelain, clothing, perfumes, and household items to his new bride upon his return from Europe after WWII.
