The back stamp of a bird in a circle signifies Seiei work -- the circle contains the words: HAND PAINTED, MADE IN JAPAN. Vintage Hand Painted Cobalt Blue Porcelain Teapot : Made in Japan. SALE** 1930s Hand Painted Cobalt Blue Antique Teapot Tea Pot… Over 80 years old and still beautiful, yet functional. Made in Japan in the 1930s by Seiei & Company, this server has an intricate gold leaf design and hand applied raised colorful dots and lines that create flowers and leaves. The back stamp of a bird in a circle signifies Seiei work -- the circle contains the words: HAND PAINTED, MADE IN JAPAN. This teapot stands just over 6" high, with lid, and is 9" from tip of spout to tip of handle, with an 8-paneled body that is 5" by 5" at its widest. You can see that traditional tea straining holes are inside at the spout. The rim of the lid has a bump-out so that it stays in place while pouring; the opening is 2-7/8" across. There is also a steam hole in the lid. Condition is "used". No chips or cracks Shipped with USPS Priority Mail or equivalent. All items are either auction or estate finds.
