I assume the rough edge is a result of that but might  have happened later. I only discovered upon close inspection. It’s not particularly noticeable or detracting when on display but you can feel it to the touch.  Measures approx. 7.25” high x 8.25” wide.  It will weigh about 3-4lbs packed safely.
