Known to create assorted types and styles, carnival glass stands out as most likely their most popular. The company produced numerous patterns in many assorted colors and shapes. The always attractive pattern known as strawberry continually attracts collectors with the intricate beauty of the pattern. Whorls of strawberries adorn most of the interior of each item, this pattern was primarily produced in plates and bowls and came in a large number of base glass colors. This is attractive ruffled bowl has a very crisp mold with detailed berries and leaves clearly visible in the pictures. The iridescence gradually changes from Amethyst to rainbow overcast reminiscent of gasoline in water. Thank fondness this beautiful display is neither bad for the environment or toxic!! The basketweave patterned backside also has a subtle rainbow iridescence with the center showing the clear amber color of the glass. The bowl measures 8.5” diameter and sets 2 1/2” tall when lying flat. I have checked the rim for chips and can find none, I see no cracks or damage anywhere on this bowl. I did notice a tiny amount of iridescence missing on one strawberry. . The berries appear intact with no chips on the raised seeds or detailed leaves.
