I then cleaned them with a degreaser and lightly buffed them with a microfiber cloth and applied a thin coat of wax to add an extra layer of protection. There are a few flaws that occurred during the refurbishing process. I have only done this to protect the rosewood composite for years to come and minor scratches can mostly be covered by adding a new thin layer of wax when needed but it is recommended to remove old wax after a few coats to prevent build up. The handles still have the original major signs of wear, they have just been coated over.
