It is a 19th-century EAPG crystal pitcher, handmade with great care and elegance. Silver mounting is removable creating two pieces to this pitcher. The glass is brilliant clear, and the cut handle shows the production style of the time. This pitcher is a work of art and amazingly brilliant. The pitcher is a great example of Victorian-era glassware, with a production technique of hand-blown glass and polished pontil. The set includes two items, and both the mounting and pitcher are in excellent condition. This piece is perfect for display or use and will add charm to any collection. I have not had the silver tested expertly and I am not able to attest to the exact material, but based on the acid test I ran and included in the photos the reaction is yellow / brown and by scale it appears to be .800 coin silver. I have not attempted cleaning of the silver rim spout. This is gorgeous as is and I simply do not want to change the look of this piece. I will leave that up to the new owner. The difference between sterling or pewter does not affect the price of this piece in a significant fashion. No damage noted except for a scratch on the inside of the silver rim. Conditions overall good and consistent with antique age and expected wear ascribed to display use. Few free to ask questions.
