View 1800s 19th Century Buffalo Fur Coat And Cabinet Card Photo with current marketplace pricing, condition, product images and item details. The coat is made of Buffalo, with a quilted lining. The collar top is Beaver, as are the cuffs. The underside of the collar is black bear fur. The toggles are wooden and stained black. There are waist pockets as well. See pics for condition. It had some moth issues when I got it, so I had it in a freezer for 2 weeks. The back has been period repaired/patched with cow hide/fur.  This piece would benefit greatly from a restoration and cleaning. The coat is made of Buffalo, with a quilted lining. The collar top is Beaver, as are the cuffs. The underside of the collar is black bear fur. The toggles are wooden and stained black. There are waist pockets as well. The collar and the cuffs are the roughest. Lots of fur missing from the collar and cracked and broken leather as well as debris in the fur throughout. The Cabinet card, unfortunately, had the name erased off of the reverse but is still a great addition and rare find to have an image of the actual coat in wear. The cabinet card was made in a studio in Minneapolis,  Minnesota. I would say it's a large size. Condition: Pre-owned - Fair.
