Condition is overall really, really excellent for a hikizuri. The biggest ish is probably the overall color migrations. This color can do that; I've seen a lot worse. There's a pop at the sleeve; water is wet and I hate sewing. Nom nom nom, delicious hikizuri.   Really, really fantastical hikizuri.  She's a very early Showa girl; 1930-1935.  Really classical Geisha look; beautiful motif of kiku dripping down the hems.  Color is really super tasteful; sort of a cool plum color.  The color on my work room is called plum crazy; they're a pretty close match and I'm pretty plum crazy about kimono.   Anyways.   Condition is overall really, really excellent for a hikizuri.  I would say it escaped without true abuse.  The biggest ish is probably the overall color migrations.  This color can do that; I've seen a lot worse.  It does have some overall small stains and the like, but overall it really displays really nicely and pops like woah.  There's a pop at the sleeve; water is wet and I hate sewing.  Lining has been replaced at some point; we got some frugal and creative uses of precious momi silk so that the wear can still give those sweet, sweet flashes of red.  Given the sleeves are really, really long still ( pre-war length for Geisha yet; post war saw them go up a little but Geisha's hikizuri sleeves are slightly longer than standard; usually around 53-54cm versus 49cm and we're looking at 58cm here ); I think it was relined during when everything was rationed which makes this piece all the more interesting.   The Kamon of twin Rangiku ( Spider mum ) is the absolute goat of this piece.  Please feel free to message me with any questions.    No smells.  Measurements are listed below.  If you're looking for a flat measurement to wear as a robe or cardigan; please multiple the backwidth by 2 and that will give you your flat pit to pit measurement to some extent beyond this; the kimono is adjustable; but I get a plethora of people looking for a robe and don't understand that traditional kimono is not like a western garment in having chest-waist-hip measurements; it is all straight up and down.  Thank you for understanding.   Length: 187cm Yuki: 64cm Sleeve length: 58cm Frontwidth: 23.5cm Backwidth: 30cm I only ship within the continental US + Alaska + Hawaii.  I cannot ship to APO/military bases overseas.  I do not deal with customs forms at all, this is just a side thing I do for enjoyment, and international shipping just gives me really big anxiety.  I also do not have a printer and overseas prepaid labels require a printer and cannot be generated with a QR code which is how I ship all my packages via USPS.  Thank you for understanding.   Condition: Used.
