It is as vintage as can be from a country, founded in 1948, and the center stone looks like red Coral, but I am not sure. I do guarantee it is a real stone, not man made. The entire brooch, measures 1.78" wide, and 1.38" high, and it is lightweight, but study. No damage or repair marks, and this is ready to wear. Signed correctly, on the back, for sterling and Israel.
