A wonderful piece of authentic Victorian art glass, perfect for a curated Grandmillennial parlor display or Cottagecore vignette.   Antique hand-blown art glass bride’s basket, dating circa 1890–1910. This piece features a ruffled, crimped rim, spatter-decorated glass body with soft green, cream, red, and yellow tones, and an applied clear glass thorn-textured handle — a classic late-Victorian decorative detail. Very good antique condition with no chips or cracks observed. The underside retains a rough, open pontil scar consistent with hand-blown Victorian glassmaking. Minor seed bubbles, color striations, and subtle surface variations are inherent to the hand-blown process and appropriate to the period. Bride’s baskets were popular wedding gifts in the late 19th century and were used to display flowers, sweets, or calling cards in the parlor. This example is free-blown (not molded) and retains excellent form and balance. Unattributed, in the manner of late Victorian British or Continental art glass.
