It has a central wooden carrying handle and is designed for organizing sewing supplies or as a decorative storage piece. This is a vintage wooden accordion-style sewing box with a floral tapestry cushion lid.   It features a cantilever or "accordion" design where the side compartments fold out for easy access to the contents.   The primary material is wood, likely from the mid-20th century (1940s-1960s).   It has a central wooden carrying handle and is designed for organizing sewing supplies or as a decorative storage piece.   It measures approximately 12" long x 6" wide x 9" tall (including handle) when closed. When fully extended it measures approximately 28" long. There is no damage to the tapestry top, butt appears to be a little dusty looking.  This belonged to my Mom and was sitting in her basement workroom for a few years.
