The use of the blue underglaze is a classic technique. The swimming fish is set against an ivory glaze, with flowy abstract lines around the edge that add a sense of movement. The playful minimalist design offers a timeless look. The bowl can be used as a statement serving bowl, a decorative centerpiece or a display bowl. "Made in China" is stamped on the bottom, indicating mid-to-late 20th Century Chinese export porcelain. Measures 10.5" diameter, 1.5" high. In excellent pre-owned condition with two miniscule chips on the underside of the rim (see pic) that in no way detract from the desirability of this wonderful collectible and functional piece!
