The pink engine-turned guilloché panels are in excellent condition, with no cracks, chips, or losses — increasingly rare to find intact after a century. The radiating sunburst pattern reflects light beautifully and remains vibrant. The gilt metal frames and handles are extraordinarily detailed. The transitional areas where the handles meet the mirror and brush are adorned with deeply cast, highly intricate ornamentation — floral and scroll motifs rendered with remarkable precision. Surrounding both pieces is an architectural cylindrical rod gallery, forming a dramatic perimeter reminiscent of early Machine Age design and 1920s skyscraper-era styling. The gilt finish remains present throughout, with areas of natural wear consistent with age. These subtle areas of rubbing enhance the character and authenticity of the set.
