View 11" tall Signed Raku Pottery Vessel Multiple Iridescent Metallic Glazes Studio with current marketplace pricing, condition, product images and item details. In short, the artist went all-out to create a unique, one-of-a-kind pottery. Measuring approximately 11.5" tall and 6" wide at its widest point and weighing approximately 2.5 lbs, this extended raku vase is a smorgasbord of techniques of color and texturing.  The glaze is iridescent, appearing as a metallic over grey, creating a silvery pattern.  But the potter didn't stop there--glazes of several other colors were blended with the metallic/grey, demonstrated more fully in the close-up photos.  The subtle color changes were difficult to photograph but I've presented them as accurately as I could. The artist also incorporated several texturing techniques; it appears that a folding technique was used, as well as "spooning," a "burlap" type finish and something more akin to multiple pinpricks.  In short, the artist went all-out to create a unique, one-of-a-kind pottery. I've included a photo of the maker's signature and month and year of creation--the photo has been lightened for ease of reading. Condition: Used.
