View Vintage 12 inch Japanese Imari Hand painted Blue Flower Bowl with current marketplace pricing, condition, product images and item details. My Mother bought this bowl in 1960 when we were stationed in Okinawa. She gave it to me when I married. It is a large heavy bowl (12 inch in diameter and about 4 inch high). It was used at many parties for potato salad and fruit salad. It has a black mark on the top gold rim (see pic 3) and I do not know if this was from the painting or firing process. It came that way. There is a chip on the bottom rim (see pic 10). I do not know when this happened. The bowl still sits firmly on a table. It is a beautiful blue color with flowers and bamboo.
