There is a bit of crazing in the green areas of the glaze. There are three different small areas on three of the hooves where the white clay is showing through the black glaze. These areas are not chipped. This rare vintage kitsch white fawn deer ceramic figurine pair is made in Japan during the mid-20th century. These deer are in excellent vintage condition. There is a bit of crazing in the green areas of the glaze. The only imperfections on each statue are from the manufacturing process. There are small divots or bumps underneath the glaze in multiple different areas. I snapped a few pictures of examples of these but I'm happy to send more pictures upon request. There are no cracks or chips whatsoever. There are three different small areas on three of the hooves where the white clay is showing through the black glaze. I do believe that these areas were missed during glazing in the manufacturing process as well because these spots feel smooth like the clear glaze is still intact. These areas are not chipped. The shorter statue is about 9 and 1/2 in tall and about 6 in wide and weighs 15.5oz. The taller is about 10 and 3/4 in tall and 5 and 1/2 in wide and weighs 1lb.
