This is a mid-20th century Catholic crucifix , likely 1940s–1960s , made for home use (bedroom wall, bedside, or even carried/travel use). Materials & construction Cross: Dark-stained wood (simple, squared edges but decent quality) Corpus (Jesus figure): Cast metal, likely spelter (zinc alloy) or low-grade pot metal, sometimes silver-toned or nickel-plated INRI plaque: Separate cast piece nailed on (typical of the period) Attachment: Small round-head pins/nails (factory assembly) That slightly rough, almost “soft” detail in the figure is a giveaway for cast spelter rather than bronze.
